Comedian Eric Omondi has endorsed businessman Jimi Wanjigi for the Presidential seat in 2022.
In a campaign dubbed 'Fagia Wote' Eric Omondi has been advocating for the youth to take up leadership positions in 2022.
"We dont want any old person, either Raila, Kalonzo, Ruto, Mudavadi, or anyone who has been in an elective post. Even if its for 5 years, anybody in the Parliament, Senate, State House. The youth will be taking over," Eric said in an interview with Mpasho on Tuesday.
A day later, Eric has announced his support for Jimi Wanjigi, terming him as a fresh blood in Kenya's leadership.
However, his endorsement has sparked reactions among Kenyans, with some saying that Eric is doing the opposite of what he is talking about.
In a video shared on his social media, Eric calls on the youth to bring change by voting their own.
He goes ahead to endorse Jimi Wanjigi, who is 59 years-old.
