President Uhuru Kenyatta shared some nuggets of wisdom with women in Kilifi County.

While presiding over the issuance of 2169 title deeds in the area, Uhuru advised Kilifi women to be on the lookout for their husbands.

Since women are good keepers, Uhuru said its up to them to make sure their husbands keep the issued land and not use it as a tool to lure other women.

He warned the women that if they are not careful, men will use the title deeds to marry another wife.

"Ombi langu ni muhifadhi hivi vyeti, mzichunge. Akina mama nyinyi ndio hatari kwa kuchunga mali. Ukiona mzee amechukua jua ameiweka wapi.

(My prayer is you keep these tittle deeds. Women, you are the most dangerous in keeping wealth. When you see your husband has taken it, ask where he has kept it.) Uhuru advised.

He added;

"Kama hamuelewi ni shauri yenu, bwana ataenda kutafuta mwingine aseme sasa ako na mali. Mjue ameweka wapi na muwe mnaishughulikia kila wakati kuliza iko wapi? Watoto wangependa kujua.

(It's up to you if you don't understand, your husband will look for another wife, saying he is rich. Keep checking where it is.)"

Uhuru further advised the residents that owning the title deeds is a step towards the end of poverty and should use the land to add value to their lives.
