• When Atwoli left for an official trip to Dubai last month, Lekorei Maiyani asked him to help him secure a job.
COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has changed the life of a Kenyan youth who asked him for help online.
When Atwoli left for an official trip to Dubai last month, Lekorei Maiyani asked him to help him secure a job.
"Am Maiyani a maasai boy from Nanyuki. Am 25 years. I come from a humble background. Naomba unisaidie na kazi. I finished my KCSE on 2015 and attained C plain. Kindly nisaidie na kazi ili nisaidie wazazi wangu. Be blessed," he pleaded with the COTU boss.
Now, Atwoli has offered to take the young man to school instead.
He announced that he has secured a chance for Maiyani to continue with his studies at Sensei Institute of Technology.
"As promised, I have ensured that Lekorei1 joins school to secure his future and that of his family. On Monday, he will be starting a new course at Sensei Institute of Technology on Plant Operator together with an additional course in driving. I wish him well in it," Atwoli wrote.
Lekorei confirmed that they had been in talks, and was elated to finally get help from Atwoli.
