Former Taita Taveta woman representative Joyce Lay is a happy woman after her husband received Jesus Christ as his personal saviour.

Joyce shared the news with her fans revealing that she has been praying for him.

She added that Lay got saved during her mom's burial ceremony.

She wrote;

''Mama's funeral was glorious. Heaven received a new soul. I praise God for this miracle, of my husband receiving Christ as his personal saviour. All glory be to God. It's been quite a journey.....but I kept on praying for him, and trusting God for his salvation. God himself did it in his own way....oh hallelujah to God. Thank you Jesus!''

This comes a few weeks after Joyce said she had dropped her family name and was going to use 'Jewel' as her stage name.

"I will not use my family name Lay anymore. I'm forced to pick a stage name. I am Jewel. This is because of my special mission with God," she said.

Joyce added that her husband doesn't want to be associated with what she is called to do.

"I truly understand him. So he said I have to drop the family name if I'm determined to follow my dreams. I chose the latter. I will follow my dreams to the end. This is what will lead to my success and fulfilment."
