As the 2022 General approaches, Kenyans in the showbiz industry are flexing muscles to give politics a shot. 

Their interests range from MCA, MP and Woman Representative seats, none of them has dared governorship or the presidency. 

Here are some celebrities who have declared their interests in politics. 

1. Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang'o 

The Kiss FM Radio presenter cum comedian has an interest in contesting for the Langata Constituency seat in 2022. 

“I am going to be the next MP of Langata. Youths change your votes. Come and vote for us to build a new Langata. I am campaigning for myself. I am very serious, I am the next MP of Langata. Mark this day," said Jalang'o in a recent interview with NTV. 

2. Dickson Ngibuini, alias DNG

The Media personality recently declared his interest in the Member of County Assembly seat. 

DNG announced that he will be vying for the Woodley-Kenyatta Golf Course MCA seat on a UDA ticket in 2022. 

"Everyone I have interacted with has been telling me I have massive leadership potential. Many have told me I need to get into leadership. Others have told me I need to vie for an elective position," he said.

3. Alinur aka 'Somali bae'

Having come into the limelight as News anchor Betty Kyallo's boyfriend, Alinur Mohamed has maintained a profile both in showbiz and politics. 

Being a supporter of ODM leader Raila Odinga, Alinur eyes the Kamukunji constituency parliamentary seat. 

He has become a social media sensation who is actively involved in political discussions and turning up to support fellow celebrities to grow their talents. 

4. Betty Kyallo

Although not from the horse's mouth, there are reports that Betty Kyallo will be contesting the Nairobi Woman Representative seat in 2022. 

Months ago, 'Somali Bae' said that he has been mentoring the mother of one to kickstart a career in politics. 

"Betty Kyallo is a good friend of mine we talk often,and everyone knows she was a media personality. Yes, she wants to run for the seat for women's representative in Nairobi," Alinur said during an interview on Radio Jambo.
