Bomet police are trailing a man from Ndanai, in Sotik who is suspected to be part of a terrorist organization.

Wesley Langat is said to have escaped when his house was raided by the police leaving behind his wife Chemutai.

According to Sotik Sub-County Police Commander Francis Ng’ang’a, the police recovered 12 pairs of military boots, four jungle trousers, a pair of military socks, one jungle hat, one Kenya Air Force belt, 10 mobile phones and three military daggers, possessions that warranted the arrest of the fugitive’s wife who has been taken in for questioning.

“We have all valid reasons to believe the suspect is a very dangerous person and we urge members of the public to be vigilant and give any information that may lead to his arrest,” Ng’ang’a said.

Even as Chemutai is reportedly giving vital information to local detectives, the incident took the area residents by surprise, sparking fear, while many have come out to urge the police to do thorough investigations on the matter.
