Pierra Makena takes pride in the fact that she is a single mother who has been able to take care of her daughter Ricca, without the need of a man/father.
This detail was made more apparent yesterday when she posted an ode to herself on Fathers Day. She wrote:
“Big shout out to all Super mothers who take up the role of a Father when the man can’t be one…. Happy father’s day to all great dads.”
But there were some who did not appreciate the self-aggrandizement and sneak-dissing on a day to be praising fathers.
One male fan named Charles, however, took offence to the message which he alleged was coming from a feminist. Pierra briefly engaged with the fan as she sought to defend her position as a single mother
The 37-year old DJ, like many Kenyan celebrities on Sunday, June 17, took to social media to mark the special day for fathers.
The fan instantly slid into the comments with a distinct opinion which stood out from the strings of compliments Pierra got from her typical fans. He wrote:
“Never saw ladies wishing men the same on mothers’ day. Toxic feminists always have a way of making everything about themselves.”
The drama did not end there as Dj Pierra decided to respond to Charles. Her retort:
“Charles, I stand on mine If you have raised a child without the father then you will know how hard it is when you have to play that important role… so with all due respect I’m talking from a point of knowledge and experience… so will you please let me prosper? Thanks.”
Throwing shade on Fathers Day is not rare nowadays with the advent of social media. Last year Kourtney Kardashian refused to wish the father of her 3 kids, Scott Disick a happy Fathers Day.
The slight was intentional as she would wish her departed dad a happy Fathers Day.
