In Pictures: Obama's Heavy Machinery Finally Lands, Putting Kenyan Military To Shame

The Obama security team is taking nothing to chance. Bell Boeing Osprey copters have finally landed at the Kenyatta University. The choppers are native to the U.S. Marine Corps and Airforce where they are used to access virtually impractical terrain.

They are loved for their versatility; the ability to land vertically and cruise at fast speeds akin to normal planes. Their rotors are able to thrust and lift the copters as opposed to mainstream choppers. The model influenced the aircrafts seen in the film series Resident Evil.

Obama is expected to make a short trip to the university where he will interact with students and the institution's management. His Young African Leaders Initiative Programme (YALI) has a center at the varsity. He'll also tour Nairobi National Park and hold a joint press conference with President Uhuru at State House.
