Peter Blessing today appeared at Milimani law courts after he allegedly obtained Sh 2,039,000 from Kevin Kioko alias Bahati at EMB records studios.
Chief magistrate Martha Mutuku lifted a warrant of arrest on Peter Mwanyalo who had been charged with obtaining money by false pretences.
According to court papers, the offence took place between July 4, 2019, and January 5, 2020.
Mwanyalo appeared before the court and denied the charges preferred against him. He was represented by three lawyers.
The court has released the accused person on Sh 500,000 bond and Sh 200,000 cash bail.
Mwanyalo is said to have pretended that he was in a position to produce music videos with the studios.
Peter was handcuffed as he was being escorted towards the holding cell awaiting his release.
At the time of going to press he had been released.
