Media mogul and entrepreneur Chris Kirubi is a man of means, living a life many can only dream of. But what most people do not know is that he was born poor.

Chris who is best known for his flashy lifestyle thanks to his wealth.

Speaking during an interview on Churchill Show Kirubi now says 'kuambia mwili pole' is an important element people ignore.

'This is just a home, it's all for me. Treating yourself to good things is a good thing.'

One way he has thanked himself is by building himself a palatial home. Below are photos of the house.

Having lost his parents at a tender age Chris had no option than to learn how to save the little he had.

'I grew up poor so I learnt how to save money. I did not inherit any wealth, My parents died when I was very young.

I have never smoked and my  alcohol consumption is measured.'

Among the many things Chris owns is

  1. 1000 acres of land in Thika

2. 15 acres has been set aside for a man-made lake dubbed 'Lake Kirubi.

3. 250/300 acres - is used to grow bananas.

4. The other land which is around 600 acres he grows avocados, which are for export.

Besides all this, Chris also has many other businesses he runs.
