The family is perplexed at the incident that took place on Saturday night.

Speaking to the press on Wednesday at their home in Omware village which borders Migori and Kisii counties, the family said James Otieno Ong’ondo, 45 has not uttered a word since the ordeal.

Ong’ondo, a father of four children with the eldest being a university student, left home on Saturday evening before he disappeared until he was picked at Etago area on Sunday at 4pm.

His wife Hellen Aoko, said he has been communicating by writing in a book and has not uttered a word ever since after the witches slapped him thrice using a dried human hand after abducting him.

“When he came home he wrote that three people alighted from a probox vehicle and abducted him in the evening before blindfolding him and tying him up,” Aoko said.

The family now appeals to any well-wisher or any Kenyan with knowledge of reversing the curse to help them.
