Today, we talked to one of musicians to look out for this year:

On his stay so far in the country:

"It's amazing, man. The first thing that I always wanna do when I land in Kenya is have Nyama Choma. I love Nyama Choma. I spent my birthday with my grandma and cousins you know...it's the first birthday I've had with them," the rapper who grew up Baltimore, Maryland reveals.

On meeting with Will Smith:

King Kanja has worked on an amazing track recently; it goes by the name "Turning Me On." It features fellow rapper Kenyan Kev - also based in the US. It was debuted on Kiss FM today and I'm sure you'll love it.

King Kanja thanks Jua Cali for having supported him when he was not known, Buddha Blaze for having helped him get his first show in Kenya when he was fifteen and P Square for the inspiration that they've given him.
