It was pomp and colour at richest singer's Akothee's palace in Mombasa (also known as Whitehouse) as her second born daughter Celine Dion celebrated her 19th birthday. It was an invite only party and Celine's close friends dominated the party. It was an all blue affair. From the dress code to the cake.

Celine, who is commonly referred to as mini Akothee (her mother's carbon copy) dined with her friends the whole of Saturday night till the wee hours of Sunday morning.

The rich kid who passed her KCSE exams with flying colours last year will be joining a university of her choice come April, next month as confirmed by Akothee.

Celine Dion's  birthday party cost the Shengerea Mama a whopping Kshs. 500k and apart from that, Akothee surprised her with a new Mazda CX-7 worth 1 Million.

The cost of this car can pay your bedsitter rent for two good years.

When asked why she bought Celine a car, Akothe responded;

"She is joining campus in April and a car is one of the necessity a lady should have so that men driving cars won't get a chance to flaunt car keys in her face expecting her to ask them for favours e.g lifts.

Secondly, I want her to learn the difficulties of owning a property.  If they (my children) will be driven and picked up by my drivers everyday they won't learn the challenges of life. She will also have to service her car, fuel it and keep it clean. So it means she has to work."

Akothee moved to Nairobi late last year with her family after staying in Mombasa for more than 20 years. The mother of five went ahead to reveal her daughters' source of wealth claiming that they work for her and she pays them.

"Well when my kids work for me, I do pay them, so they use the money to take care of their luxurious needs so that in case am not there tomorrow, they can handle themselves. I am afraid  I don't spoon feed them for they will one day have their own lives," concluded Akothee.

The hardworking mother whose music is currently dominating the airwaves is known for her flashy lifestyle and a year ago, she also bought her first born daughter a car on her birthday.
