If you were to ask who is the God father of comedy in Kenya, the obvious answer would be, Dan ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki.
This is because he has persistently proven that Kenya has a vast array of comedians, stand up talent and comics. He has provided a platform for this talent on his TV show, Churchill Live and Churchill Raw.
His persistence has been rewarded. Starting Saturday, 1st of October 2016, viewers across East Africa will get a boost in their entertainment viewing as they tune in to Maisha Magic East to catch the popular stand-up show, The Churchill Show.

Maisha Magic East Channel Head, Margaret Mathore explained their unparalleled history of investing in local film industry and showcasing local talent. This debut of Churchill Show is a significant step to the continual provision of platforms to advance of local talent.

The comedy show promises the best of the past with a mix of the present in an innovative and captivating show of comedy. The show provides a platform for local homegrown and upcoming comedians to showcase their comic talent to a large number of audiences  across East Africa.

This follows a partnership deal between Maisha Magic East and Daniel Ndambuki in July 2016 that allowed the channel to exclusively broadcast his Africa Laugh Festival Comedy Show for a period of one year.
