Kenya's popular televangelist pastor Pius Muiru is mourning the sudden and cruel death of his mother.

Central Regional police boss Larry Kieng' told various media outlets that Grace Wangari Mwangi may have been kidnapped and subsequently killed.

Now, Pastor Pius has spoken after receiving news of the mother's brutal murder.

So far, two suspects have been arrested. They had volunteered to take police to the area where they claim the woman was buried in Karika Village.

Pius Muiru's son, Andrew Young wrote,

My Grand mother that we shared laughter and bonded is gone. Taken away from us but her love REMAINS. LOVE YOU FOREVER GRANDMA. 

Sad.

Pius took to social media to talk about his late mother.

"We praise God in all situations which make us true sons and daughters of the Lord. It is with deep sorrow that I want to let you know that my mother has gone to be with the Lord. We do not mourn because of her departure but we rejoice for the years God gave her to us to celebrate, sharpen, laugh, pray, fellowship and even spend time with her. My her soul rest in eternal peace. We bless God in all situations," he SAId.
