He’s humble. He supports Germany to win the World Cup. He’s a medical lab technologist. He’s based in Londiani. He’s worked there for over 30 years because he has a calling and a passion for what he does. His name, Fred Tonui. Now a cool millionaire after scooping a massive sh. 31 million in last weekend’s SportPesa Mega Jackpot.
Fred has five children. How did he win? He simply placed two bets on the Mega Jackpot and won after correctly predicting the outcome of 16 out of 17 games.
“I can’t believe that I have won this amount of money!!” Fred gushed.

“I placed two bets on the MJP. Something I usually do. I then followed the games keenly and was pleasantly surprised to see that one of the bets seemed to be doing extremely well” he continued.

By the time the message came in confirming that he had won the money, Mr. Tonui was ecstatic!

The exact amount he won was sh. 31,736,374/=. This was out of a possible sh. 156,489,885/= which he would have won if he he correctly predicted the outcome of all 17 games in the Mega Jackpot.

What he missed out on for the full win was the result on the Aasane Football vs. Ullensaker/Kisa game which ended in an away win.

How long has he been doing this?
“I’ve been playing for over 2 years now since my workmate introduced me to the platform and this is the largest amount I have ever won.” confesses Mr Tonui
He also revealed that he would continue in employment even after this windfall. This is because he has found a calling and a passion in what he does. Having worked at the Londiani Sub-County Hospital for almost 30 years now, he’s not ready to leave yet.
“I love what I do there and I’d like to continue my work, at least for now.”, continued Tonui
What will he do with the money?
Tonui says he’s still figuring out what his plans will be. “I have a home I had started building up-country which I can now finish and of course educate all my children.  Besides that, I still need to draw up a proper plan of how I’ll use the rest.”

Whilst not an avid football fan, Tonui said he was supporting Germany to win the World Cup while his local support is behind Zoo Kericho who play in the SportPesa Premier League.
“I would encourage fellow gamers to continue taking every opportunity and making it count and playing responsibly!” added Tonui
