Kenyan MPs yesterday almost traded blows following a bitter exchange of words and insults. Over 30 MPs from marginalized communities felt cheated by their counterparts after the Marginalization Fund Bill was defeated for failing to raise 233 members in support despite the house being full to capacity.

The MPs stormed out of the chambers shouting angrily referring to other MPs as traitors and government voting machines. They vowed to form a strong political movement that will cater for the pastoralists and the marginalized communities.

Turkana MP James Lomenen and Samburu women rep Maison Leshomo literally fought to the ground with harsh exchange of words between the two after they decided to call off a press conference.

After they called off the press conference they sought the hansard records to find out MPs who voted against the bill for them to be declared enemies to pastoralists.

To their surprise Narok Women Rep Soipan Tuya voted to shoot down the bill alongside 16 ODM Mps from Nyanza.

A few minutes after the pandemonium at the corridors of Parliament, the angered lawmakers proceeded to storm Speaker Justine Muturi's office to express their displeasure but were rebuffed by a strong team of MPs that included Francis Waititu, Kanini Kega, Ndung'u Githenji among others who were quickly dispatched to calm the protesting group that almost turned parliament chaotic on Tuesday.
