Papa Shirandula was today laid to rest at his home in Nanderema, Namisi-Bukeko village under strict Covid-19 directives as friends and family watched.

The body of the TV star was accompanied by two buses of mourners who were received by Busia county health officials.

Among those who attended the burial is Kiss FM morning show co-host Jalango who was mentored by Papa Shirandula.

Taking to his social media to mourn him Jalango penned.

'Humble Beginnings....I Thank Papa for Trusting me!...May God rest His soul.'

Captain Otoyo who had acted as Jalango's brother in the Papa Shirandula show also paid his tribute to the fallen legend.

Papa Shirandula died aged 58, after he succumbed to Covid-19 at Karen hospital's parking lot after developing breathing difficulties.

He leaves behind a widow and three adorable kids.

He was also a mentor to many and they will deeply miss him and his leadership skills.
