Panic as man dies in Mombasa bound bus

A man died in a Mombasa bound bus in Nairobi in unexplained circumstances.

This caused panic in the bus as other passengers dashed out some suspecting he died out of COVID-19 pandemic.

The incident happened at the bus stop as the bus was preparing to leave for Mombasa when the incident happened.

The driver of the bus was forced to drive it to Central police station where police had to call for a hearse with handlers to remove the body amid more panic.

The body was moved to the mortuary where it will be subjected to autopsy to establish the cause of the death.

Cases of Covid-19 pandemic are on the rise in the country and more than 1300 have died so far.

Meanwhile, police are pursuing a man who killed a police officer last evening in Ngara, Nyayo Market area within Nairobi.

The officer attached to Parklands police station, according to witnesses who had entered into a heated argument with the man on the run, when he was assaulted.

The suspected killer operates an electronic store within the busy market and the two had argued over a mobile phone.

The police officer’s body was moved to Kenyatta University mortuary awaiting autopsy.

An operation to nab the fleeing suspect is underway.
