This is actually an expected turn of events and if anyone utters even a word two you about "That is how terrorists win", slap them. You have Uncle Chim's permission to slap them. But before I go off on a tangent any further, allow me to get right into the story.

After two weeks of unrestrained and unchecked violence in the greater Mandera region by suspected al Shabaab militants, teachers have decided to flee the area. The more than 50 teachers who were working in Mandera have returned to their homes in Kakamega County due to the harrowing violence incidences.

The teachers had this to say when asked why they were living,

"We fear for our lives"

And really if you expected any other reason then you are as potty as the herb smoked by Rastafari adherents.

What is sad though is that the teachers have vowed never to return to Mandera. I wonder what will happen when schools will start. But never fear, as a Kenyan government official would tell you,

"Hayo tutatafakari baada ya Krismasi!"
