A sombre mood engulfed Nyancheki village, Kisii County, as the three brothers namely; Clifford Nyambane, Dan Nyamweya and Glen Ongagi were laid to rest.

The three, sons of aspiring Kapsoya ward MCA James Ratemo were kidnapped by unknown attackers, brutally murdered three weeks and their bodies dumped in a river Nzoia.

Thousands of mourners turned up to pay their last respects for Ratemo's children. Many including their church pastor Thomas Ngoko described them as God-fearing children who never missed a service.

"They could forego breakfast to get to church early every Sabbath day. These are innocent lives that Satan has taken away from us.

This is a turning point for most of us. There is no need to have earthly things at the expense of the heavenly kingdom," said Ngoko who presided over the burial ceremony.

On Thursday, a requiem mass was held at Seventh Day Adventist church where many condemned this act of brutality calling upon the government to protect children, especially during this campaign period.

Here are photos both from Ratemo's children's requiem mass in Eldoret and their burial ceremony
