With misfortune befalling the Kenyan comedy scene, veteran comic Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill has been taking the blame for it.

Decorated comedian Eric Omondi came guns blazing to defend Churchill, who took him as a protégé when he started his journey using his platform The Churchill Show.

Eric chastised comedians for condemning the veteran for not offering enough financial support to artistes under the curtain - Churchill Show.

The comedian added that he was never paid when he used to perform in the show and was grateful for the platform.

He beseeched the comedians to use the show to showcase their talent and not a direct source of income.

Speaking to Radio Jambo’s Massawe Japanni, the comedian added that it’s because of the platform that he started landing endorsement advertisement deals worth millions.

He revealed that he wouldn’t be where he is now if it were not for Churchill and he owed his success to him.
