Former Kiss FM presenter Shaffie Weru was among the few who came out to defend Betty Kyallo.

Human rights activist and photographer Boniface Mwangi also came to Kyallo’s defense and he said she owes no one an apology.

Betty Kyalo owes no one an apology for having a good time and enjoying her life. Stop projecting your hypocrisy on someone who owes you nothing. Use that idle energy to ask our government and elected leaders what they’re doing to ensure we don’t starve or die because of Corona.

In a series of videos, she shared on her Instagram account, the mother of one thanked everyone who supported her.

To everyone who has shown me a lot of support, concern, love, hugs, and kisses. I honestly really appreciate you. Out of a hateful world, you can actually take time to uplift somebody and I really appreciate it. I pray that everybody who showed me love one day when you need it somebody is going to uplift you.
