'Depression took our friend down,' Otoyo mourns Njenga Mswahili

Kenyan Comedian Captain Otoyo has paid his tributes to fellow Churchill comedian Njenga Mswahili as he is being laid to rest at Langata Cemetry.

Njenga's body was discovered in Dagoretti on a rail track with the circumstances of his death still unclear as the police launch investigations.

Speaking exclusively toduring the burial Otoyo said

'As Churchill family NJenga Mswahili's death has hurt us a lot despite the fact that he had taken a break from Churchill. He was still a member of the Churchill Family.'

Adding,

'Depression took our friend down, We do not know if he was knocked by the train or as speculations are saying if he was placed on the railway line. He was the only one doing this kind of comedy, It's swahili and he was special. We will miss him.'

Laugh Industry released a statement on his death, shedding more light on what might have happened.

“He was found dead on rail tracks this morning after being hit by a train.

It is not clear under which circumstances this fate befell him, but police are been involved and more will be divulged later,” a statement from Laugh Industry read in part.

According to Laugh Industry, Njenga had not been well and as an entity, they had been involved in his well-being by taking him to a rehabilitation programme for some time together with family and friends.
