Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has asked fellow artistes to speak out against the constant oppression by MCSK (Music Copyright Society of Kenya) as it's the only way they can be heard.

This came about after Willy Paul went on a rant blaming the Music society for mismanagement of funds something that has left artistes miserably.

Most artistes are paid peanuts in royalties despite their efforts in creating good music and placing Kenya on the international map.

Responding to a post by Otile Brown, Khaligraph said,

'Wasanii wananyamaza sana, ebu Ongeeni ama Tuzidi Kuishi Kwa Bedsitter, ile saa pesa yetu inakulwa hapa Nje, kwanza Uku Githurai Hakuna Maji bana smh Alafu Tafadhali @ukenyatta Tunakuomba Wacha turudi kazi tafadhali Watu wengi wanaumia bana, especttheogs.

Otile Brown further added that it's the same artistes who take Willy Paul's comments as a joke that ensure the status quo remains.

Ensuring that the artistes are forever oppressed.

According to the 'Dusuma' hit maker it's time the artistes proved to the MCSK that punda amechoka.

Willy Paul had taken to his social media to warn the MCSK over the exploitation of their music rights.

'It’s so sad that the government has failed to help the artists! Yaani tunaibiwa tu na hawa wazeee MCSKK and the rest! We don’t work for you!!

Some of us came from nothing like me and here you are, feeding your balls and ovaries with our money!!! Please if you see me, piga corner!!!

We demand an explanation, not only that... plus all the money you’ve stolen ama mtajua hamjui!

this has to change man!! Hii ufala ya kuibia wasanii lazima iishe!!

Lazima change ikuje by force yaani ama tuingie tufunge hizo TAKA TAKA wanaita ofisi wasani waonge wasinyamaze for How long with this fools do this??

The artistes have been taken for ride for way too long it's a high time they are paid their dues.

It's very unfair that other people are benefiting from jasho ya wenyewe while the real OGs are out here suffering.
