Ommy Dimpoz is currently in a South African hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Many celebrities have show support for the bongo star including arch rival Diamond Platnumz who wished him a quick recovery.
In an interview after his first surgery, Ommy says he couldn't swallow food and water couldn't go down his throat.
I STARTED GETTING THROAT PROBLEM, EVEN WHEN EATING, I COULDN'T SWALLOW THE FOOD. I GOT A LOT OF TROUBLE. IT REACHED A TIME WHEN I DRANK WATER, IT WASN'T GOING DOWN MY THROAT.
The singer has gotten help from Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho.
MOMBASA GOVERNOR JOHO RECOMMENDED SOME DOCTORS TO ME. THEY ADVISED ME TO UNDERGO AN OPERATION.I DID THE OPERATION AND I NOW HAVE A SCAR ON MY NECK THROUGH TO MY STOMACH.I WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS VERY RISKY FOR ME.
Adding that:
I HAD LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT SINCE THE OPERATION.
In a video message posted in June 15, Ommy informed his fans that he has come out of hospital after a surgical procedure
"I thank God, I have gone through a tough period in my life for some time now. I was in a lot of pain, and i had a major surgical procedure to alleviate the pain. For that I have spent 15 days in hospital recovering. But I thank God I'm out now.
Adding, "I now hope I will come out stronger. I'm recovering well. God willing all shall be well. I thank those who have been checking up on me to find out how I'm fairing on. Thank you. Thank you for your prayers too. God bless you."
Two days ago, he was rushed back to hospital where he is currently in ICU.
