Good deeds are in deed rewarded! Hours after David Rudisha gave Kenya a second gold medal at the ongoing Olympics games in Rio, Brazil, his wife Liz has promised to reward the 800m world champion with "something good".

Liz, together with their children Sheryl Rudisha and Patience Ntamei, chose to celebrate her hubby's victory by feeding the poor in Eldoret town. "King" David, who is also a senior officer in the Kenya Police Service, hit top gear in the final 300 meters to become the first man since New Zealander Peter Snell in 1964 to successfully defend the Olympic 800m title. He clocked 1.42.15.

His family expressed their joy by feeding the street children, with his wife saying that her husband did it for Kenya and it was fulfilling to celebrate the victory with the less fortunate. See what she said about rewarding his conquering husband!

Yes he went there with my encouragement and I have planned something good for him," Liz said.

Rudisha's elder daughter Sheryl congratulated her father saying she will also tread in his footsteps.

"I had told Daddy to buy me a bicycle when he comes back and I am happy for him since he won. I am sure he wi," she said.ll get me the bicycle. My mum woke me up and we watched him win," Sheryl said.
