Judge a man by how high he bounces back after the world kicks him down. Dennis Oliech can tell you a thing or two about being down and bouncebackability.

The aging football ace was down on his luck when Gor Mahia decided to do what most (myself included) believed was a public relations stunt by signing the 40-year-old striker. Thing is, everyone but Oliech thought it was a stunt. The joke was on us when he began scoring. He has more goals than some strikers younger than him.

A lot can be said about experience I guess -the battle-hardened veteran has a wealth of experience to make up for his old, slower body. And 2019 has been kind to the man who lost his mother to cancer even after sinking a fortune into her healthcare.

Just this year, Oliech has welcomed a son:

And before the year is up, he unveiled a beautiful house on his IG account announcing to the world that he now has a home to retire to.

He built it in his ancestral home, Kisumu, and from the video he chose to share, it is a spacious house.

Oliech captioned the video saying,

"Kisumu, now I can rest. I have done my part to build my resting place."
