Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho was the guest of honour as music legend Mzee Joseph Ngala, the creator of the Bango beat turned 84 years old.

The event that was publicised by the Kenya Musicians Union saw Mzee Ngala celebrated on his big day.

"May you be blessed with many happy returns. KeMU also salutes Governor Joho for gracing Mzee's birthday party. Big up Governor 001," the music association wished the iconic coast musician.
