Olympic 800m Champion David Rudisha has escaped death by a whisker after he was involved in a grisly road accident.

A bus hit his car in Nyansiongo area on the Kijauri-Keroka Highway in Nyamira County in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Rudisha was traveling to his home in Kilgoris when the accident occurred.
He escaped with minor injuries and was rushed to Keroka Sub County Hospital and his car towed to Keroka Police Station. According to media outlets, he is okay.

Rudisha's accident comes a year after 400M champion Nicholas Bett died in a ghastly road accident.
