A G4S security guard, Allan Musila has been arrested after he stabbed his girlfriend Consolata Wambui in Weru, Kinangop, Nyandarua county.

The-25-year old G4S guard, who works in Kakamega visited the 22-year-old teacher at her rented house on January 21 and had an argument before stabbing her several times.

Consolata was rushed to Engineer Sub-county hospital, where she succumbed to injuries.

According to K24, the two had a daughter together but parted ways sometimes back.

Last year more than five women were killed by their spouses and ex-lovers.
