Kenya music Icon John DeMathew has been laid to rest in his Gatanga Home.

He died in an accident near Blue Post Hotel on August 18.

DeMathew's family thanked Kenyans for their overwhelming support since the demise of their patriarch.

They said, "The De’ Mathew family wishes to thank everyone for their acts of kindness during our time of bereavement. Thank you all for your prayers, condolence messages, phone calls and support. We ask that you continue to pray for the family."
