Today's war of wars in the music industry has been fueled by Bahati's attack on the gospel fraternity saying they have let the fans down.

Bahati wrote,

"WE ARE SORRY FOR LETTING DOWN THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST‼️ I personally feel & accept that as "BAHATI" I have not Represented Jesus & the Gospel Music as God expects. I know this might not be the best Platform to Speak about this but We all Know that The Public has Lost Trust in Us Gospel Musicians. Can we all agree that The Saints & the Streets don't See God in Us anymore???"

Adding, "I personally feel my Last Gospel Song was "BARUA" in 2014 nanimechangia Sana kupaka Jina la Yesu Matope... LORD PLEASE FORGIVE ME ???? Some People might see this as Self Crucification but NO!!! God says clearly in 1ST JOHN 1:9.... "if we CONFESS our sins He is faithful & Just to forgive us and Cleanse Us from all Unrighteousness" ... God speaks through People; and if the Public & the People of God are not happy::: THEN GOD IS NOT HAPPY‼️ (Listen to what the Spirit Says 2Chronicles 7:14)"

These sentiments were echoed by nominated ODM Isaac Mwaura's wife, Mukami.

She believes that Size 8 and Willy Paul's single, Tiga Wana is nothing more than a . Mukami believes there is no inspiration to be gotten from the single.

She wrote,

"Tiga wana .....I am not a musician nor a performing artiste so sijui pressure ya kutoa wimbo lakini hapana .... a gospel song should put you in a worship or praise mood ..... Some words dont even make sense .....lakini Awards watu watashida ..."

Mukami added, "I am talking about the whole song and how it made me feel...that's not hypocrisy. I have not judged...whether Willy Paul and Size 8 are born again...that would be judgement!!! And personally I dont use the phrase at all."
