NTV's political affairs editor Richard Chacha will no longer be working at the Kimathi Street based media house.  After social media was awash with rumours that the crippled man was fired from Nation Media Group a few weeks ago, Chacha has now officially left.

It was alleged that he had been sacked for being unproductive by the Managing Editor. In 2012, Nation Media journalists among then Chacha were involved in a grisly road accident along the Nairobi-Narok road. The journalists survived the accident but the eloquent speaker was left crippled after suffering serious hip injuries.

NTV's presenter and reporter Smriti Vidyarthi Mahendra has finally spoken up about her colleague Richard Chacha.

She penned down a heartfelt message to Chacha, a colleague she has been working with. Smriti posted a photo of Chacha and herself accompanied by these cool words:

"It was our colleague, Richard Chacha's last day at NMG today. Chacha, we love you and you truly are one in a million. A wonderful colleague, a great friend and a real fighter and survivor. God Bless you. All the best. xxx @ntvkenyaofficial #NTV #Colleague #Chacha #BestGuy #NTVFamily #Journalist #OneInAmillion"
