Savara Mudigi, the man responsible for the creation of most of Sauti Sol's music comes across as an educated chap. He graduated from Daystar University in 2012, having pursued a Bachelor in Commerce/Finance degree. He says that what makes his art different is that competition and fame are his least priorities. He focuses on being different:

“I write music differently as compared to any other artists out there. And just like the world awaits the big fight between major boxers like Manny and Floyd, it awaits me. And like the fight is imminent; so is my day, and I am ready. Much as my music will rule the world, heroism and power are at the least of my priorities. I simply want people to feel what I feel when am doing my music,” he says.

The vocalist, drummer, percussionist and seasoned producer is also responsible for some of Elani's music, for example their hit track "Jana Usiku." He has stuck with the band since its inception in 2006. He produced major parts of their maiden album, "Mwanzo," and their second album "Sol Filosofia" which came out three years later.

In the video below, Savara talks about his experience working with Elani on "Jana Usiku."
