Ugandan politician Bobi Wine needs your prayers more than before.

The Kyadondo East MP who is at loggerheads with the government is going through a lot. The vocal politician was arrested this month and detained for several days until this last week when he was released and re-arrested again.

The father of four, whose health had emaciated while being held by the military was taken to Lubaga Hospital where he was visited by fellow musicians, politicians, and fans. Opposition leader Kiza Besigye, music doctor Jose Chameleone were among those who visited the adamant lawmaker.

"Get well soon my Brother, Still got you and Family in prayers @bobiwine," the Tubonge hitmaker shared accompanied by the photo below

Yesterday, he later left the local hospital in the evening but he was arrested by policemen at Entebbe airport as he was heading to the USA for treatment. His wife Barbie took to social media to slam the government.

She wrote;

Bobi has been violently arrested by Security forces at Entebbe airport as he was heading to Washington, USA for treatment even when he has clearance from court to travel. He has a medical report from Lubaga hospital recommending urgent medical treatment abroad. He told me that as soon as they closed the ambulance doors, he was again brutally beaten in front of a government doctor. They switched off the lights in the ambulance and started battering him! Bobi is now back in pain and he is dumped at Kirudu hospital. He has missed his flight and time is running out. There is something we're not getting. By denying him access to medical treatment, do they need him disabled for life? We also strongly object to their doctors forcefully trying to administer treatment or draw samples from him. The same people who have acquiesced in torturing him cannot be trusted with his body.

Barbie has been a supportive woman to her husband and family at large.

In 2011, Bobi Wine and Barbie walked down the aisle in what was termed as the wedding of the century. Their lavish black and white themed wedding was broadcasted on national TV stations across the world and on 27th August this year, they celebrated their seventh anniversary.

The young mother wrote a letter to her husband reminiscing the good old times. She wrote;

Bobi my love, today is our seventh wedding anniversary. Unlike the other anniversaries in the past, this one finds us in a courtroom in Gulu. It finds you in clutches, unable to walk by yourself. It finds you before a judge, making an application for you to be released on bail so that you can go for medical treatment. It finds you in physical pain. On such days in the past, we would go to the beach or somewhere across the Atlantic. We would cut a cake, have some wine and celebrate with our children. But today here we are. Still not sure if you'll get your freedom or if you will be taken back to prison.

"But let me tell you this. I have never been so proud of you. I am very proud that you are not before this judge because you did anything wrong. Not because you stole public funds or killed a person. You are before the judge because of standing for what you believe in. You have always told me that your dream is to live in a country which works for all citizens. Everyday, you are working towards that. Our troubles these past days are a result of that effort. What I can do is once again promise to support you every step of the way. Not because I am your wife but also your best friend."

On our wedding day on 27th August 2011, you composed for me the best song I've ever listened to 'For better for worse.' You promised to be with me through thin and thick, in sickness and in health, in sorrows and joy. I promised you the same. Here we are on that worse bit of the oath. 😏

Happy wedding anniversary my Love; FOR BETTER, FOR WORSE. IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH.
