According to articles going around, Sharon's mother had said that the county government should provide for Sharon’s three young children.

As a family, we have been rendered hopeless since our only provider, Sharon is no more. Migori County Government should intervene and provide for me the way Sharon has been doing. We are ready to accept any assistance from anywhere since Am left with Sharon’s Children and they need upkeep which was being provided by the deceased.

Her demands have shocked the nation and Kenyans have reacted to this but in an interview with Daily Nation, she refuted the claims, terming them as rumours being spread by malicious people.

We do not want to be involved in any way with Migori county or any of its employees. We have not asked for any help from them. We know some of those producing and spreading such news are Obado's people.
