Nothing is ever served on a silver platter. You have to work hard to achieve your goals. Richest Kenyan singer Akothee is one of the hardworking women in the local showbiz industry. From living in abject poverty to eating life with a big spoon, the mother of five has indeed worked hard her way up the ladder. She is a true definition of from grass to grace.

Who knew this lady from a remote village in Rongo, Migori County would be a swimming in riches at one point in her life after dropping out of school and getting married at only 14 years of age? Well, nothing is impossible with God.

Akothee has for once shared what she went through before becoming rich and it's such a sad story. The Sweet Love hitmaker narrated how men threw her out of their houses, how she spent nights in the cold and how she finally made it in life. Akothee also advised women to save and invest instead of waiting for men who might not do anything for them.

"I wanted this home badly that I did gardening before the house was built, #dreamsarevalid, I know what I want so I go for it, I'm that do or die, kind of a woman, since men kicked me out of their homes I learnt how to land on my feet like a cat, I never allow myself to land on my back, I need my spinal cord, enough of men kicking us out of their hoods (Masters of PARK & GO)

Buy a small land in your village and build yourself a house, There are very few gentlemen left who will do things for a woman, I did it, you can do it too! and when you have a child they call you second hand none is ready to commit to a woman with children, but they wont say no for extras like sex, women lets be stingy with our flower, lets not be too generous with this flower I beg , niggas ain't loyal with their pockets, mother christmas, wametubeba ojinga siku nyingi sana hawa jamaa," she posted accompanied by the photo below

Akothee's message has changed the minds of the hopeless and Kenyans have for once supported her on this.

Collins: Well, your story is inspirational, that is given; from rags to riches. Your story is a good learning point for both men and women, girls and boys, especially those who are trying to move economically from point A to B, and you are definitely a great mother to a beautiful family. I personally love your go-getter attitude and culturally attached demeanour

Beverlyne: Enemy of progress are still sleeping nursing hangover 'drinks that they spent zero shillings on' I love you sibuor madhako .Continue doing your thing.

Kawira: Akothee 4yrs ago ulikuwa unapanda nyasi. Akothee now owns and lives in paradise. This is the encouragement and motivation we want. God bless all women who are wishing all the best for their kids, give us strength God.

Eve: I love u akothee, u r the real mirror of today's women in our society. Damn those idiots men who have nothing to offer to women. We nowadays struggle to sustain our children unlike those cowards who walk away from our way

Belle: This has encouraged me 100 times, thanks for this inspiration.
