The team heading NACADA was summoned by Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery earlier this morning over allegations of embezzlement at the anti drug abuse agency. The CS has vowed to ensure that the allegations are investigated and anyone found culpable faces the law.

The allegations brought forth by NACADA chair John Mututho were repeated earlier this week by Charles Njagua AKA Jaguar who also sits on the NACADA board as a member. The musician, who was appointed to the board by President Uhuru Kenyatta, had threatened to resign from the post if his claims are not investigated. Jaguar had given a 2 week ultimatum to EACC and the interior ministry to take over the matter. Nkaissery's actions mean that Jaguar no longer has reason to give up his post as his demands have effectively been met.

Those summoned included the Director Stephen Mairori, Mohammed Bare from the interior ministry, Anne Mugo from the national treasury, and Kepha Ombacho from the ministry of health.
