A Kenyan man identified as Shem has penned down a love letter to actress Esther Chebet aka Matilda.

To my crush Esther Chebet (Matilda)

Is it obvious that I like you? Because I really do.

I can’t help but think about you all day even if it tortures me to know that our chances of ever being together are pretty slim. Any man would be lucky to have a lady like you.

And I just want to tell the world how I feel about you because you’re just that special. I can’t help but smile when I see you.

It’s so hard to keep my feelings locked in when you’re just right there. I wouldn’t dream of being with anyone else but you.

I’m jealous of the people that are important in your life because I want to be a part of your life like you are in mine…I just recently learned you were in a relationship and that’s a wake-up call, I guess.

I feel stupid for not knowing…ashamed for longing for someone who isn’t mine too long for. Something in my instinct is telling me that the lucky one isn’t doing right by you, but then again that’s really none of my business.

I can only hope that some of the butterflies survive the war within me and finds a way to shield your precious heart.

I wish I could face you like the morning.

I love seeing the way you smile.

I know you’ll never read this, and I know you’ll never know, but you are always on my mind, even though I’m most likely not on yours.

I just wish I could have the guts to tell or even show you how I feel. But I guess, for now, I’ll have to just be happy with being friends because I know that’s all we’ll ever be. And I’d rather have that than nothing.
