Singer Akothee has left parliamentarians scratching their heads after she appeared in Parliament dressed in a skirt suit.

The self-proclaimed mother of five visited the Parliament to meet nominated MP David Sankok. She was blocked by Parliament security from accessing the Members Only restaurant.

After confrontation with parliament orderlies lasting nearly five minutes, she was allowed in minus her security which were kept waiting. She was dressed in a neon skirt suit.

After gaining entry into MPs only area, the richest singer was rejected attempts by parliament orderlies to hand her a kikoyo to wrap her mini skirt.

In an exclusive interview with Mpasho.co.ke, she said,

Wamenivalisha leso.

Adding, "My legs are longer than the skirt."

In a recent interview with Mpasho.co.ke, she said that she wasn't interested in politics and won't be vying for any seat come next election.

I DON’T WANT TO GO BROKE. I’M ALSO NOT GOING TO CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE TO FIT INTO THE SOCIETY, AND I DON’T WANT TO BE ANYONE’S ROLE MODEL. I HAVE ONE LIFE TO LIVE AND WILL LIVE IT THE WAY I WANT,” SHE SAID.
