On Saturday, I attended the Urejesho Exhibition at Zen Gardens. It featured celebrity fashion designer Elizabeth Dankaro from Nigeria, who has dressed the likes of Ciara, Jessie J, Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton, Halle Berry and Mary J. Blige.
The venue was full of guests from all walks of life, from consultants to fashion entrepreneurs. Some even came from as far as Nigeria. The mood was relaxing with food and drinks in plenty. Only true talent and awesomeness attracts such deserved attention.
Elizabeth Dankaro, the proprietor behind Tebazile was showcasing. The location is serene and conveniently cool. My excitement as I entered the gallery was fired up when I saw the surreal art on display. The jewelry designer explained what her art is all about and what it meant to those in attendance. Her charm and graceful demeanor makes her instantly likable.
Elizabeth comes across as a humble and firm believer in God. She started her work with simple sketches and going to search for shops to showcase her work in Los Angeles. When her chance came, she took it by the horns and soon, celebrities were loving her pieces and buying them.
The newly dressed actresses, musicians and other public figures proudly took photos of themselves rocking the designs. Liz was soon in top magazines – either in interview features or dressing models with her work for editorial shoots. Her work has appeared on Elle, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Instyle and other top international lifestyle magazines.

The Urejesho exhibition saw her interact with her followers intimately, show her success documentary and inspire young upcoming designers. I had the opportunity to have a detailed video interview with her. Keep it locked to @MpashoNews for the release.
