Ex-Big Brother Africa (BBA) contestant Millicent Mugadi Wambui is lucky to be alive after being involved in a grisly road accident that claimed four lives in Gilgil on Sunday, April 9.

Mugadi, who is the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Ziwani-Kariakor ward, was on her way back to Nairobi after attending a friend's burial in Western when the crash occurred.

Credible reports indicate that the vehicle that they were travelling in was trying to overtake a fleet of cars when it collided with an oncoming trailer.

As fate would have it, the first time MCA and Minority Leader is the only one survived while the all other occupants lost their lives on the spot.

Mugadi reportedly sustained fractures during the crash and she was rushed to St. Mary's Hospital in Gilgil for treatment.

However, she was airlifted to a hospital in Nairobi after the intervention of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko. The bodies of the deceased were also taken to Chiromo Mortuary.
