News just reaching us is that former Power Breakfast host Johnson Mwakazi is on the verge of losing his job as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of one of the local media houses.

He left Citizen TV in April 2014 after being offered a posh job at Wholesome TV (WTV) - a station which was just commencing its operations at the time.

The media house which is owned by Foundation Media Group positioned itself as a business station at it has been operation for the four years or so.

Mwakazi who is also known as the Royal Voice has been steering the ship but unfortunately, the investors have not made any profit from the venture.

The station went off air on Friday, December 2 leaving the fate of more than 50 staffers in a limbo.

Insiders say Signet - a provider of digital frequencies - switched off their signal on Monday, December 2 after they failed to pay for the service.

A memo sent to the employees informed them that broadcasting had been suspended until further notice and production of programmes stopped.

The media house has been facing serious financial problems over the last few months with some reports indicating that employees have had to go without pay.
