KPLC - 6 Counties to Experience Power Interruptions Today

• The company mentioned that the power interruptions are due to maintenance work that will be carried out on the power stations.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power outages in several counties on Monday, 16th September 2024, to carry out essential maintenance.

Below are the affected areas and expected downtime:

Kisumu County

Area: Katito
Time: 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Affected Areas: Katito, Sondu, Ahero, Katolo, Harambee, Kusa, Kolweny, Pap Onditi, and adjacent customers.

Migori County

Area: Macalder
Time: 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Affected Areas: Macalder Gold Mine, Macalder Polytechnic, Okenge Market, Okenge Secondary School, and adjacent customers.

Meru County

Areas: Maua, Laare, Garbatula
Time: 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Affected Areas: Maua Town, Athi, Kimongoro, Igembe Tea Factory, Kiegoi Tea Factory, Athiru Gaiti, Luluma, Nyambene Hospital, Methodist Hospital, KWS, Kiengu, Kinna, Garbatula, Kula Mawe, Kiutine, Karichu, Kaboito, Rhino Camp, Kangeta Prison, Njia Boys, Kathelwa, Laare, Mutuati, Kabachi, K.K Market, Antuabetwe, Kamukunji, China State Buulu, and adjacent customers.
