KPLC - 6 Counties to Experience Power Interruptions Today

• The company mentioned that the power interruptions are due to maintenance work that will be carried out on the power stations.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power outages in several counties on Monday, 16th September 2024, to carry out essential maintenance.

Below are the affected areas and expected downtime:

Kisumu County

  • Area: Katito
  • Time: 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
  • Affected Areas: Katito, Sondu, Ahero, Katolo, Harambee, Kusa, Kolweny, Pap Onditi, and adjacent customers.

Migori County

  • Area: Macalder
  • Time: 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
  • Affected Areas: Macalder Gold Mine, Macalder Polytechnic, Okenge Market, Okenge Secondary School, and adjacent customers.

Meru County

  • Areas: Maua, Laare, Garbatula
  • Time: 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Affected Areas: Maua Town, Athi, Kimongoro, Igembe Tea Factory, Kiegoi Tea Factory, Athiru Gaiti, Luluma, Nyambene Hospital, Methodist Hospital, KWS, Kiengu, Kinna, Garbatula, Kula Mawe, Kiutine, Karichu, Kaboito, Rhino Camp, Kangeta Prison, Njia Boys, Kathelwa, Laare, Mutuati, Kabachi, K.K Market, Antuabetwe, Kamukunji, China State Buulu, and adjacent customers.

Nairobi County

  • Area: Part of Lower Kabete
  • Time: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Affected Areas: Lower Kabete Road, Shanzu Road, Part of Kyuna Road, Shanzu Link, and adjacent customers.

Machakos County

  • Area: Kinanie, Parts of Mombasa Road
  • Time: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Affected Areas: Greenpark Estate, Ridhi Business Park, Ashapura, Athi River Business Park, Wrigleys, Toptank, Graylands, Sidai Estate, Lukenya Hills, Paradise Park, Mavwasko, Moke Gardens, Muselele, Karibu Homes, Gimu, Samora, Blessed Harvest, Mutungoni, Koma Rock, Kinanie Shopping Centre, Nzioani, Kimongo, Nyaani, and adjacent customers.

Nandi County

  • Area: Mosoriot, Baraton
  • Time: 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
  • Affected Areas: Kilibwoni Junction, Siwo, Arwos, Chepterit, Mosoriot, Tulon, Itigo, Mutwot, Baraton, Kipchabo, Kaptel, Talai, Kilibwoni Tea Factory, and adjacent customers.
