A recent viral video showing a principal arriving drunk at a school assembly has caused quite a stir online.

The clip has sparked outrage and concern among netizens, who are questioning the principal's judgment and professionalism, especially amid the recent outbreak of school fires.

In the video, the principal is seen staggering and struggling to address the students in Luyha, ultimately failing to communicate effectively.

A nearby teacher intervened, calmly assuring the students that the principal would speak to them later. "You will give him time to speak, right?" the teacher asked, to which the students agreed in unison.

After the teacher's intervention, the principal is seen retreating and mumbling unintelligibly in low tones.

The video has prompted calls for accountability, with many arguing that such behavior undermines the authority of school leaders and sets a poor example for students.

Some believe the principal might be struggling with depression and distress, which could explain his reliance on alcohol.

The situation has ignited widespread discussion, as evidenced by online reactions:

steven.haxans: "This is why schools are getting burned... incompetence of the highest level."

ogaobinna: "That man is going through something."

b4mtv_kenya: "He is a teacher with stress issues... depression is real... some of us are drunk full-time... and we think we are okay... just because he is struggling with alcoholism."

djshiti_comedian: "What!! 😢 Instead of finding a way to cover it up, they are letting him address the kids and some are even recording it."

djslimd: "Woiyee… This is a distress call… Something is totally off somewhere."

Over the past week, more than five schools have been destroyed by fires, leading to injuries and fatalities.

One of the most tragic incidents occurred at Hillside Endarasha Academy, where 21 students lost their lives and 70 were reported missing, although the DCI disputes this claim.
