Irene Kawira, wife to the late Meru blogger Snipper has shared her experience as a new widow.
In an interview with Kingori from Tuko, she said life has never been the same again.
"We stayed for around 16 days before we received the news that a body had been found.
The body had been unclaimed, The police suggested we go look just in case. I was not believing the news.
His siblings and I went and confirmed that it was him."
What came to her mind after finding out her husband had been murdered?
' I was shocked, I have never gone back to my normal self. I never thought something like that would happen."
Why has he not been buried all this time?
"Justice is delayed. We gave statements and evidence but nothing has been done, and suspects are released.
Everything was stepped on and swept under the carpet. How can I bury my husband what have I found?
Whoever called him before his death is free, the suspects are already free. My life is in danger, I am a witness.
The body is still in the morgue. We have no burial plans yet. When the time is right it will be done"
She added
"The body belongs to the community unless we agree. But since no justice is served they can't agree.
Sniper was found dead in December 2023 16th after mysteriously disappearing on Monday, December 4, 2023.
His death was confirmed by Abogeta West Member of County Assembly, Denis Kiogora.
