On August 13th 2024, a family's journey was cut short after 5 family members were killed in an accident along the Nakuru – Nairobi Highway.
The accident involved a Mercedes and a lorry.
The Mercedes was overtaking when it collided with the lorry killing 5 people on the spot. Below are details you did not know about the accident.
1. Those who passed on were the mother Margaret Atieno, nanny Celestine Atamba, three children; Jayson Ambani, 4 and 6month old twins Evan Millan Ambani and Ethan Milan Ambani.
2. The Mercedes which was coming from Gilgil direction heading towards Nakuru, was overtaking when it collided with a lorry that was coming from Nakuru.
3. Of the six family members, five perished on the spot while the driver survived .
4. They were heading to their rural home to visit their grandmother in Kakamega.
5. Christopher Ambani ,35 who was the driver is currently in hospital. He was the sole survivor of the accident.
