During Tuesday's protests in Nairobi along Moi Avenue, a harrowing scene unfolded as a protester narrowly escaped abduction.

Captured on video by a motorist trailing behind, the footage shared online depicts the incident outside Nairobi Sports House.

In the footage, a salon car is shown with its trunk wide open, where three men forcefully attempt to push the screaming protester inside.

As fellow protesters reacted by pelting the vehicle with stones, the victim managed to break free in just eight seconds. The assailants hastily retreated into the car and sped away, leaving the trunk still open.

The government has faced severe criticism amid allegations of multiple disappearances during previous demonstrations.

Despite denying any involvement in abductions, the authorities acknowledged that at least 25 people lost their lives during Tuesday’s protests.

However, the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) reported a higher toll of 41 deaths and 360 injuries.

Activist Boniface Mwangi, speaking during a virtual town hall organized by Africa Uncensored, emphasized that protests would continue until the government takes responsibility and provides restitution for the victims.

He called for justice, compensation, and prosecution of those responsible for the deaths, urging the President to acknowledge and apologize to the bereaved families.
