In Pictures: Shops vandalized, houses touched as demos leave a trail of destruction  across the country

Several business premises and shops were vandalized during Tuesday's demonstrations that aimed at pushing the MPs to shoot down the Finance Bill 2024.

Supermarkets and shops along Ronald Ngala, and City Hall Way among others were among the most affected in Nairobi CBD.

Naivas supermarket along Ronald Ngala and Carrefour supermarket were vandalized.

Carrefour supermarket along city hall was also vandalized and looted during the protest.

Uganda's house building was pelted with stones and later set on fire during the demos.

Across the country

Protests concerning the Finance Bill 2024 have been the talk of the town and beyond the borders.

Some of the ridiculous events that happened in yesterday's protests, most of them remain unfathomable as the chaos promoted vandalism and theft.

Here is the places that faced vandalism in the hands of the picketers.

Parliament

The Parliament, which is made up of all representatives together, controls and guides the government. In this sense people, through their chosen representatives, form the government and also control it.

The house was vandalized by protesters as they were observed breaching the gates and also stole the mace which the house cannot pass any laws without it.

Chieni supermarket

The chain supermarket which is owned by a legislature was vandalized after voting in favor of the finance bill and later torched down.

Timba XO

The club which is located in Eldoret owned by MP Oscar Sudi who apparently voted in favor of the bill had his club vandalized seriously and later looted.

The legislature who has been trending for a significant amount of time after being noted offering hefty sums of money to the church in Harambe spree.

Uganda House

Amidst the Nairobi's protests,  lawyer Danstan Omari's office was reported to be on fire as the demos escalated.

The lawyer, who came out to issue a presser on the aftermath of the protests stated that his office was set ablaze by a teargas canister fired by a rogue officer.

Kuria Kimani's Mansion

As the finance bill was passed by the legislators so as the residents of Molo decided to pass by their MP Kuria Kimani's Mansion.

The visit was not pleasant as the protesters went on to slaughter cows and goats while vandalizing his palatial home as it was later torched.

These are just but some of the areas that were seriously vandalized due to the ongoing demonstrations witnessed countrywide.

While expressing their outrage, protestors also burnt down cars belonging to the government outside the parliament building.

Kikuyu residents were also filled with rage as they headed to Kikuyu MP, Kimani Ichung'wa's home.

They stormed and set ablaze his constituency office.

In a similar incident, Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi's office was razed by residents on Tuesday noon. They also accused him of voting in favour of the Finance Bill.
